Sue Kendrick is a Registered Nurse and a Registered Social Worker. Sue has eleven years experience at practitioner and senior management level in providing Supported Living Services for individuals with complex needs and behaviours. Sue was previously Registered Manager for a Supported Living Provider who provided packages of care to service users in Plymouth, West Devon, and Cornwall. Sue has worked within Supported Living services with people with learning disability; mental health issues; Acquired Brain Injury; Huntington’s Disease; MS and Dual Diagnosis.

As a qualified Social Worker, Sue is fully aware of the needs of those who have disabilities and the potential challenges that may arise in providing a service that successfully meets these needs. Sue is committed to ensuring that all services are carried out with full regard for service users civil and human rights. Sue subscribes to the principles of Best Practice and focuses on the rights, needs, choices and interests of the individual service user.

Sue’s years of staff supervision and management of services have made her highly aware of the value of well qualified and satisfied staff. Sue is committed to meeting the professional needs of her staff through training, supervision and support as well as the needs of the service users to help ensure a stable staff team that is able to carry out the role they have been inducted and trained for.

Kerry qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 2001, initially working in a health setting before moving to social care. Kerry has experience of working with people with physical and mental health problems as well as complex disabilities and learning disabilities. Kerry moved to the South West in 2006 and joined an existing Supported Living provider, working as a manager.

Kerry is driven by the desire to help individuals in striving to achieve their best. Kerry’s experience as a therapist is evident in her work as she supports both service users and staff to continuously develop and attempt new things and achieve new levels.  Kerry is enthusiastic and motivated, committing both time and energy into her work.

Kerry works in a very open way, enjoying being part of a team and meeting challenges faced in this line of work head-on.  Kerry’s current role as support manager finds her involved in assessing individuals and setting up new support packages as well as leading and developing existing packages. Kerry believes in achieving quality in support through careful and detailed management and training of staff and more thorough professional relationships between managers and service users.
